5. How do I benefit from submitting an Article to MBAjobs.ca?

At MBAjobs.ca we make our Job Seekers shine!  We've created a venue for online publication of professional and business-oriented articles.  You can develop a reputation for being a knowledgeable, creative and thoughtful business professional, and let the potential employers know what you can bring to a work place.  Demonstrate your business administration acumen with an article on the topic of your choice.  If your article is selected, it will be posted on MBAjobs.ca with your name prominently featured for up to 12 months and it will automatically be attached to your resume when:

  • You apply for jobs
  • Employers find your resume as a Featured MBA Job Seeker
  • Employers find your resume in the Article section
  • Employers find your resume from the resume database (if you have selected your resume to be searchable).

Note:
You wouldn't see your article attached in your profile or resume, only employers can view them.

6. What length should my article be?

We suggest approximately 1,000 - 2,000 words.

7. What are the Terms and Conditions for posting an article?

Once you choose to submit an article you have agreed that it becomes the property of MBAjobs.ca.

Your article will only appear on MBAjobs.ca, and will not be resold or used otherwise.  MBAjobs.ca is not responsible for the actions of any third party users of our site.  The publishing of your article is intended to assist you in being visible to and hired by employers and recruiters; therefore, you agree to make your profile and resume available for employers and recruiters to view, and you are not financially compensated for your article.

You agree that your article is completely original and contains no plagiarized material, advertising (direct or indirect) or discriminatory content.  You agree that MBAjobs.ca has the right to accept, reject or remove your article from our Web site at anytime.

8. How will I be notified if my Article is chosen?

If your article is chosen for publication, we will contact you via e-mail within 4-6 weeks of submission date.  Please ensure your e-mail address is current in your Account Manager.  MBAjobs.ca reserves the right to post or remove your article as we see fit.  If your article is not chosen, you will not be contacted.  Please check the site often for updates.

9. How do I benefit from becoming a Featured MBA Job Seeker?

11. Where and how will my Featured MBA Job Seeker appear?

Since the Featured MBA Job Seeker advertising is targeted at the potential employers, it appears throughout all the employers' Account Manager pages.  See a sample

12. Where can I find out how many times my Featured MBA Job Seeker ad is being viewed and clicked?

  • Go to "View/Purchased MBA job Seeker" under "Featured MBA Job Seeker" in your Account Manager
  • Click "View/Hide" under your Featured MBA Job Seeker's Expertise Title, you will find "Featured Ad Tracker" which shows the number of times your "Featured MBA Job Seeker" ad is being viewed and clicked

13. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard) payments only.
(Please note that the charge will show as  "PowerBlue mgt." on your credit card statement.)

14. Is your website secure for credit-card processing?

Yes.  Our Web site utilizes industry standard 128/256 bit secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption to ensure that your sensitive data cannot be tampered with or forged and is transmitted safely and securely with strong encryption.  We do not store any credit card numbers, and recurring payment transactions are entrusted by major payment processors.

15. How do I post a resume?

In order to post a resume, you must:

  • First Sign-Up as a MBA Job Seeker
  • Once you have completed the registration and resume submission process, you can then Log-in and have access to the Job Seeker tools
  • Edit your resume and access information in the appropriate sections of your Account Manager

16. How do I search for jobs listed on MBAjobs.ca site?

  • First Log-in as a MBA Job Seeker
  • To search for jobs in our job listings database, simply click on the Search Jobs option found in the top menu bar or the Account Manager.
  • From there, you can refine your search by specifying the criteria: Locations, Industries, Job Categories, Job Terms, and Date of Job Listing.

Remember, you can only apply for job listings if you have signed up and are logged in as a MBA Job Seeker.

17. How do I apply for a job listed on MBAjobs.ca site?

In order to apply for a job, you must first sign-up as a MBA Job Seeker.  The method of applying for jobs is dependent upon the employer's preference (MBAjobs.ca or their Corporate Website).

There are two (2) options you may see:

  • First is the option that allows you to apply directly through MBAjobs.ca.
    All information and details regarding your Application History is recorded in your Account Manager including: job title, company name, date of application and resume chosen for application
  • The second option allows an employer to provide a direct link to his or her website, from which you will leave MBAjobs.ca and follow the company's own specified instructions on their own website.  This option provides an Application History in your Account Manager including job title, company name, and date of application

18. How do I edit my account profile?

You can edit your account profile in your Account Manager, click on My Details.

19. How do I edit and add my resume/cover letter?

You can edit and add your resume/cover-letter in the Account Manager, click on My Details.

20. Can I edit my resume during the application process?

The easiest way to edit or add to your resume is to go to "Resumes" under "My Details."  If you want to edit or add to your resume during the application process, you can, by going to "Resumes" under "My Details," however you would have to go back and re-apply for the job.

21. Will you send me an e-mail notification when jobs match with my criteria?

Yes.  If you have chosen to receive MBA job e-mail alerts, notification is sent to your e-mail when a job that matches your criteria is posted by an employer. 

You can find the MBA job e-mail alert setting in your Account Manager, under "My Details", then "Preferences."

22. How often does the e-mail notification get sent out?

When you register as a MBA Job Seeker you may choose how often you receive job e-mail alerts in your Account Manager under Preferences.

The options are:

  • Daily
  • Twice a week (Monday and Thursday)
  • Weekly (Monday), and
  • Monthly (first day of the month)

23. How do I sign up for MBA job e-mail alerts?

During registration or once you are registered, you can select whether or not you would like to receive e-mail alerts in the "Preferences" section under "My Details" of your Account Manager.

24. How do I unsubscribe from MBA job e-mail alerts?

If you would no longer like to receive your e-mail alerts, you can easily unsubscribe from them within the "Preferences" section under "My Details" of your Account Manager.

25. How can I receive more MBA jobs in the MBA job email alerts?

In order to maximize the exposure to the MBA jobs that are sent to you via e-mail alerts, you can:

  • 1. On your Account Manager homepage, go to "Preferences" under "My Details".
  • 2. Set the preference setting to "No Preference" or broaden your preference criteria.
  • 3. Click "Update"

26. Can I keep my personal information (such as name and e-mail address) confidential to the employers/recruiters?

Yes.  When you register as a MBA Job Seeker you have various privacy options including: Searchable, partially searchable and not searchable.  You may choose the option that best suits your needs in your Account Manager.

27. How do I change my password?

You can change your password within your Account Manager home page:

  • My Details
  • Profile
  • Change Password

28. What should I do if I forget my User ID and Password?

Go to the "Log In" page:

Forget your User ID?
If you have forgotten your User ID, which is your e-mail address, click on the "forgot your username?" link.  

You will be prompted to answer three (3) questions:

  • First name,
  • Last name, and
  • City/Province/Postal Code/Phone Number

If you answer correctly, the e-mail address you provided when registering will be displayed.

Forget your Password?
If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot your password?" link.

  • You will be prompted for your e-mail address
  • We will e-mail you a temporary password
    It is highly recommended that you change the temporary password as soon as possible to a password of your choice.
    Please note that we only provide your password via e-mail for security reasons.

Forget both ID and Password?

Step 1
If you have forgotten your User ID, which is your e-mail address, click on the "Forgot your username?" link.

You will be prompted to answer three questions:

  • First name,
  • Last name, and
  • City/ Province/Postal Code/Phone Number.

If you answer correctly, the e-mail address you provided when registering will be displayed.

Step 2
If that e-mail address is still valid, click on the "Forgot your password?" link, provide that e-mail address when prompted, and a temporary password will be e-mailed to you. It is highly recommended that you change this temporary password as soon as possible to a password of your choice.

IMPORTANT:
If that e-mail address is NO LONGER valid:

  • Please Fax a copy of your Driver's License to 1-877-522-2565 OR e-mail a clear image of your Driver's License to ForgotIDPassword@MBAjobs.ca
  • Supply us with as much of the following information as is possible:
  • o First name
  • o Last name
  • o Street address, City, Province, Postal Code, Phone Number, the non-valid e-mail address, and the new valid email-address.
We will find your account, update your e-mail address, and send you your password.  The new e-mail address will become your new User ID. Please note that we only provide your password via e-mail for security reasons.

29. What is your refund policy?

We aim to provide the best service possible.  However, MBAjobs.ca cannot guarantee the achievement of satisfying advertising results with the purchase of any of our Featured MBA Job Seeker advertising services.  Therefore, no refund is allowed once payment is processed.

33. How do I delete my account with MBAjobs.ca?

Deleting an account is a permanent action and non-reversible.
All account data and history will be deleted and we are unable to retrieve accounts that have been deleted.  If you decide to delete your account permanently, please click Delete My Account

34. What are the general site requirements?

The website requires Cookies and JavaScript for proper operation.  Please ensure they are enabled.

35. What type of web browsers are supported on MBAjobs.ca?

MBAjobs.ca supports Internet Explorer and Fire Fox.  We do not recommend using Netscape, as the web browser does not function properly on our website.
